Arrangements are in top gear to give Rebecca Ajose, a former treasurer of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, a befitting farewell.
Eko Hot Blog reported earlier that Rebecca Ajose died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in Raleigh, North Carolina after battling an undisclosed ailment.
According to Abby Ajose, Rebecca’s daughter, who spoke with Otunba TJ Abass, a former President of Eko Club International, the burial ceremony has been tentatively slated for the 6th of August, 2021, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Eko Hot Blog understands that top Government functionaries of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, as well as high-ranking officials of the All Progressives Congress, are expected to be in attendance despite the geographical constraint that will be involved in attending the funeral rites.
Yesterday, June 14, 2021, executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, reacting to Rebecca’s demise, described her passage as a huge loss to not just the Lagos State Government or the All Progressives Congress, but a loss to humanity in general.
“The death of the Treasurer of our party, Sumbo Ajose, is a painful and big loss to me personally, Lagos APC, the deceased family, and friends. I am saddened by the passage of this indefatigable, devoted, loyal, and committed democrat and team player who played remarkable roles in the success of our party during her lifetime.
