JUST IN: Panic In Suleja As Gunmen Abduct Residents

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the residents of Anguwar Kwankwashe in Suleja, Niger State, have been thrown into panic following an attack by unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on the community.
The gunmen were said to have stormed Suleja and abducted two children and seven adults on Tuesday.
An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the gunmen invaded some houses and a hotel around 1:35am on Tuesday.
EKO HOT BLOG, however, gathered that two persons have escaped from their abductors.
Another eyewitness, Ibrahim Oga, added that the assailants split into groups to attack houses from where they took their victims to an unknown destination.

“It was even the sound of their gunshot that woke me up. I walked quietly to check the window and discovered they were kidnappers, some of them even dressed like soldiers,” he said.
Also speaking on the latest attack, a vigilante, who declined to be named, said he alerted operatives of the C Police Division immediately he heard sporadic gunshots in the Suleja area.
He further stated that the vigilantes and the police operatives engaged the kidnappers in a gun battle, noting that the assailants escaped with their victims.
