EKO HOT BLOG reports that a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BOT), Senator Joy Emordi, has dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is coming barely 24 hours after seven members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP resigned from the opposition party.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Senator Emordi was formally received by the Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni, in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to a statement by the Director-General, Press, and Media Affairs to the Chairman, Malam Mamman Mohammed, the defector was quoted to have said that she joined the APC because she was convinced the future of a prosperous and united Nigeria lies in the ruling party.
