[JUST IN] Messi Leaves Barcelona As Contract Renewal Negotiations Breakdown

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi is now set to leave Barcelona after a breakdown in negotiations, the club has announced.
His contract situation looked resolved a few days ago and it was believed that Messi would put pen to paper on a new deal until 2026.
However, it appears he has now changed his mind.
Marca report that there was a meeting between representatives of the player and the club today.
Negotiations between the representatives are now said to have ‘reached a point of no return’ that ‘seems impossible to resolve.’
Marca end by saying that Messi has never been ‘further from renewing with Barcelona than today’.
