[COVID-19] NCDC Confirms 357 Fresh Cases, Six Fatalities

• Total cases confirmed – 183,444
• Total cases discharged – 167,459
• Total deaths recorded – 2,229

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 183,444 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 17, the NCDC reports 357 new cases with 6 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 12 states – Rivers-170, Ondo-38, Gombe-34, Ogun-20, Ekiti-20, FCT-18, Anambra-16, Oyo-13, Kwara-6, Imo-6, Bayelsa-6 and Edo-6.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kano, Nasarawa and Plateau States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 167,459 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,229.
