COVID-19: Lagos Resumes Administration Of 2nd Dose Of Astrazeneca Vaccine
Eligible persons are advised to proceed to vaccination sites where they received their first dose to get their second jab as scheduled on their vaccination card.

The Primary Healthcare Board On Behalf Of The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement date for the administration of the second dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the healthcare board, the administration exercise will commence in Lagos State on Monday, 30th August, 2021.
Only individuals who were inoculated with the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine and are due for the second dose will be attended to.
Eligible persons are advised to proceed to vaccination sites where they received their first dose to get their second jab as scheduled on their vaccination card.
The healthcare board also noted that mandatory E-registration will not be required for the exercise. However, eligible persons are required to go along with their vaccination cards.
The duration of the exercise will span for 20 days – from Monday 30th, August to Friday 24th September, 2021 between 9.00am to 3.00pm (Weekdays, Monday – Friday Only).
Also, only persons who received the ASTRAZENECA vaccine during their first jabs are eligible for the second round of vaccinations. Those who received jabs of the Moderna vaccine as their first doses are advised to await further instructions on when their second dose will be due.

The Primary Healthcare Board also reiterates the effectiveness of the vaccine against all known strains of the coronavirus and has advised the general public to ensure they enroll for vaccination to protect themselves and their loved ones.
