Adeyemi Bags Prison Sentence for Assaulting EKEDC Staff
- Lagos resident sent to prison for assaulting EKEDC staff.

Ekohotblog reports that one David Adeyemi, a resident of Lagos State, was sentenced to six months in prison for assaulting Eko Electricity Distribution Staff member (EKEDC).
Adeyemi was arraigned at Tinubu Magistrate Court on a two-count assault charge.
The prisoner had reconnected his flat in Apapa’s Makanjuola neighbourhood after it had been disconnected.
As the EKEDC employee objected to the conduct, Adeyemi struck him in the face, injuring him.
The individual was detained and charged in court by the police.
Mrs. T. N. Idowu, the Magistrate, found Adeyemi guilty and sentenced him to 6 months in jail.

Idowu ordered his remand at the Nigerian Correctional Service’s Ikoyi facility (NCoS).
In a statement on Monday, EKEDC GM Corporate Communications, Godwin Idemudia condemned vandalization and attacks on electricity workers.
“It is unbelievable that these acts still happen despite several appeals to customers to make use of our complaints resolution channels.
“It is rather barbaric to inflict injury on another person while carrying out his lawful duties”, Idemudia said.
