BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Lawmaker Dies (Photo)

• Popular Nigerian Lawmaker is dead.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that a two-term member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Lady Elizabeth Edem Ironbar, has been pronounced dead.

According to family sources, Mrs. Ironbar died in the early hours of Wednesday after a protracted illness.

This online news platform reports that Ironbar, who has represented Akpabuyo Constituency since June 2015, is well known for her Cross River State Disability Commission Bill and is the second member of the ninth Assembly to pass on.

In June 2020, Godwin Akwaji, the lawmaker representing Obudu constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, died after showing symptoms of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the authorities in Cross River State had yet to react to the news of Lady Ironbar‘s death as of the time of filing this report.
