Ahead of National convention, PDP stakeholders meet for last-minute arrangements
The national convention is holding after the PDP crossed hurdles including court cases instituted by the ousted National Chairman of the party

Ekohotblog reports that the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from around the country are converging in Abuja ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s National Convention, which is set to take place today, 30th-31st October, 2021.

Since the start of the week, several meetings have taken place in various State Government lodges, prominent leaders’ mansions, and hotel locations in Abuja.

PDP Govs

On Friday, October 29, 2021, the leaders will convene an enlarged meeting in the Akwa Ibom Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State and his fellow Governors in attendance.

Former Nigeria Vice Presidents, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Arc. Namadi Sambo, former Senate President Senator David Mark, former governors, serving senators among other leaders of the PDP across the country are also present at the meeting.

Former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu from Benue State is consensus National Chairmanship Candidate of the PDP and other National Executive Committee members are also likely to emerge through consensus.

The national convention is holding after the PDP crossed hurdles including court cases instituted by the ousted National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus.
