UI Bars Non-First Class Graduands From Attending Convocation Ceremony

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the University of Ibadan has said it will hold this year’s convocation and 73rd Founder’s Day ceremony from November 15 – 17, 2021.

This was contained in a notice issued to graduands of the University.

In the notice obtained by EKO HOT BLOG, premier university also revealed plans to bar non-first class Graduands from the convocation ceremony.

This, it said, is in a bid to comply with the Federal Government’s COVID-19 compliance directives.

The notice partly reads: “Attendance at the International Conference Centre is opened to First Class Honours graduands and recepients of prizes and awards only. Parents and visitors are not allowed into the campus neither will there be any form of partying or social gathering during the period.”
