My Mother Lost Me Due To Her Emotional Blackmail – Bisi Alimi

• Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has condemned emotional blackmail from parents 
• He noted that this form of toxic parenting is what led to the strained relationship with his mother 

Ekohotblog reports that Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has disclosed how his relationship with his mother got strained due to her emotional blackmail. 

Bisi Alimi said this while advising parents on the implications of toxic parenting which can affect the relationship between parents and their children in the long run.

He recalled how his mother emotionally blackmailed him and noted that even though she seeks to mend fences with him, the ship has sailed.

Bisi Alimi gained recognition when he became the first Nigerian to come out on television about his LGBT sexuality.

He expressed his views through a series of post on his Instagram stories.
