EKO HOT BLOG reports that days after the military withdrew from checkpoints and highways in Ondo State, personnel from the state’s Security Network Agency, better known as the Amotekun Corps, apprehended suspected bandits preparing an invasion of the state.

The alleged bandits, numbering 18, were apprehended in Ondo town, the seat of the state’s Ondo West Local Government Area.
They were alleged to have taken off from Kastina before landing in Ondo.
According to Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of Amotekun in the State, the bandits attacked the state in three 18-seater passenger buses.
He added that two of the buses escaped while his men were able to intercept one of the buses after escaping from different checkpoints before they were arrested in Ondo town.

The suspects concealed different seizes of knives, swords and guns inside tiger nut bags.
