In a rare humanitarian gesture to mark his 29th birthday, Davido decided to give the N201 million from his crowdfunding appeal to fans and fellow musicians to charity.

Davido, who, in three days, got N201 million from friends and well-wishers, added N50 million of his own and said he intended to give all the money to the less privileged.

AYTF urged the singer to keep the committee in check and ensure effective distribution, especially in the northern parts of the country where there were large numbers of orphans and vulnerable households.

It said N251 million if shared judiciously, would ameliorate and suppress the plight and suffering of selected orphans across the country.
