• COVID-19 Omicron: UK govt puts Nigeria on red list, bans foreign travellers

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigeria will be added to the UK government’s red list, according to the UK government.

This is owing to the detection of COVID-19 Omicron cases in Nigeria.

The UK revealed the decision in a tweet on Saturday.

Non-UK and non-Irish nationals traveling to the UK from Nigeria would be denied entrance, according to the new protocol.

Despite the fact that the prohibition is labeled as temporary, the UK stated that the new rule does not apply to anyone who are “staying airside and just passing through.”
