Man Dragged To Court For Stealing Catfish In Osun

A man has been dragged to court for stealing catfish in Osun state.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a 27-year-old man, Seun Fisayo, was on Thursday dragged before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court, Ile-Ife for allegedly stealing 350 pieces of catfish.
The defendant was arraigned in court on one count of stealing.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi, told me court that the accused allegedly committed the offence on December 9 at about 2pm at 9, Irepodun Mokuro Line 3, lle-Ife Fisayo.
The fish, valued at N1 million, is the property of Fayemi Nicholas.
The alleged offence is contrary to Section 383 and punishable under Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code of 2002.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Mr Elisha Aluko, adjourned until January 27 for a bail hearing.
