[COVID-19] NCDC Confirms 404 More Infections, One Death

• Total cases confirmed – 223,887
• Total cases discharged – 211,537
• Total deaths recorded – 2,985

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 223,887 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated December 19, the NCDC reports 404 new cases with 1 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 12 states – Oyo (122), FCT (84), Lagos (52), Kaduna (51), Imo (20), Delta (18), Kano (17), Kwara (16), Rivers (11), Enugu (10), Ogun (2), and Edo (1).

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Bauchi, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun and Plateau States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 211,537 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,985.
