[COVID-19] Daily Infection Tally Drops As NCDC Announces 29 New Cases

• Total cases confirmed – 251,959
• Total cases discharged – 225,946
• Total deaths recorded – 3,124

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 251,959 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated January 22, the NCDC reports 29 new cases with no COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 3 states – Lagos (27), Kano (1) and Rivers (1).

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Anambra, Bauchi, Plateau and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 225,946 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,124.
