Catholic Priests Protest Killing Of Colleague By Gunmen
Following the assassination of a Catholic priest on Thursday evening by unknown gun men, Catholic priests in the state staged a peaceful protest that practically locked down Enugu capital city on Friday.
The Catholic Diocese of Enugu had through its social media handles announced the killing of the Rev. Father while travelling along Ihe -Agbudu road in Awgu local government area of the state in the evening of Thursday, August 1, 2019.
Hundreds of priests poured into streets of Enugu in protest for the killing of their colleague, chanting songs and bearing placards, with some of them expressing sadness while speaking with Saturday Telegraph on condition of anonymity.
