Ikorodu Cake Bakers Holds Fair, Gets Support From Traditional Ruler, Clergy

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba AbdulKabir Adewale-Shotobi and a Clergy, Rev. Dr Bamidele Adesina-Osunyomi have reiterated their commitment to support Ikorodu Cake Bakers.

The duo made the pledge when the bakers paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler in his palace after hosting a Cake Fair in the community.

This online media platform gathered that the Ikorodu Cake Baker held a Cake Fair which showcased professional bakers and also empowered 500 youths in Ikorodu Community on March 1 and 2.

The king, while addressing the cake bakers said he would always support them in whatever event they are hosting as it is part of developing the business in the community.

“Even though I haven’t attended the cake fair as it always clashes with other meetings, I want you to know that I will always support you and your plans.

“I also promise to assist you in moving the community forward. I will attend the next cake fair and I will urge more dignitaries to attend,” he said.

Oba Ayangburen also commended their effort for the free baking class rendered so far and described them as professionals with a positive impact on the community.

Also, Bamidele  Adesina-Osunyomi, a clergy at Badagry Anglican Diocese and a Principal of Babington College in Ikorodu, however, promised to pay for the training of 25 youth across the community.

“I appreciate the fact that you have empowered other ýouths in the community, I promise to pay training fees for another 25 youth in the community.

“They will be selected randomly from Ikorodu communities, I am paying for their training so as to support you in getting the appropriatriate training kits for them,” he said.

The Clergy also appreciated their decision to establish youths at the grassroots level through empowering them with cake baking knowledge.

He, however, promised to support their plans towards achieving a greater society.

The Coordinator of the group, Mojisola Saliu-Aina, however, expressed appreciation to the king and others, saying, their support will encourage them to do more.
