BREAKING: Lekan Balogun Officially Crowned As 42nd Olubadan

• Senator Lekan Balogun has been officially crowned as 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land on Friday

• The staff of office was presented to the new monarch by the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Dr Mashod Olalekan Balogun, a former member of the National Assembly, has been officially crowned as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land.

Senator Balogun, Doctor of Philosophy degree holder, was officially installed as the new king of Ibadan at the coronation held at Mapo Hall in the capital of Oyo State.

Following other traditional rites already coordinated by the traditional stakeholders, the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, presented the staff of office to the new monarch at noon on Friday, 11th March 2022.

This online platform recalls that Senator Balogun, the 42nd Olubadan, represented Oyo Central Senatorial District between 1999 and 2003.

Dr Muhammad Kola Balogun, the younger brother of the new monarch, is currently representing Oyo South at the National Assembly.
