EKO HOT BLOG reports that some All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters and civil society organizations have argued that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s national leader, remains the best consensus candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
They announced this in a five-point statement signed by their chairman, Ndubuisi Nwobu; secretary, Communique Drafting Committee, Mohammed Abubakar; and eight others in Abuja.
The statement, which was published at the end of a two-day conference in Abuja, focused on the strategic role of consensus-building and the implications of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential aspiration and the APC’s presidential aspiration for Nigeria.
According to the communique, the APC must do everything in its power to ensure he’s candidacy becomes a reality due to his leadership qualities.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one candidate who has an intimidating resume that can guarantee the APC electoral success in the presidential election.”
