EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Vice-President and Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has deleted a syndicated post that appeared on his Facebook and Twitter pages condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel after coming under series of threats from fanatics of northern origin who vowed not to vote for him in the coming polls.
The posts, according to screenshots by People’s Gazette, surfaced on the platforms around 10:20 pm on Thursday but were deleted less than an hour later. Both had garnered thousands of reactions within minutes.
“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice,” Atiku had written on his social media pages. “My condolences to her family and friends.”
It still remains unclear why the former Vice President took down the post on Facebook.
He didn’t delete the one posted on Twitter until much later.
Deborah Samuel was murdered at Shehu Shagari College of Education on Thursday morning for allegedly posting comments that blasphemed Prophet Mohammed.
