Are you aware that there are certain signs that could point to potential blindness? There are numerous conditions that are capable of causing total loss of vision if not immediately attended to and as such, the earlier you detect some of the signs, the better for you.
Well, in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at signs you are gradually losing your vision.
1. Seeing Halos Around Lights
Halos around lights mean seeing bold rainbow colours whenever you stare at bright lights. If you start seeing Halos around lights, then you should get checked or immediately report to an eye doctor because it could mean you are suffering from any of the severe eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts etc.
2. Inability to see shapes clearly or seeing straight lines as bent
This is referred to as distorted vision and it is one of the urgent signs of eye diseases that are capable of causing blindness. If you start finding it almost difficult to correctly see shapes or seeing a distorted copy of them, then there may be urgent need to see an eye doctor.
3. Cloudy vision
This could be due to cataracts i.e. clouding of the lens inside the eyes. If you start having a cloudy Vision or vision that appears to be as if you are looking through a foggy window, then you should urgently seek medical attention as cataract is the primary cause of blindness all over the world.
4. Flashes of light and loss of peripheral vision
This could also be signs of serious eye diseases such as Glaucoma, retinal detachment, Retinitis Pigmentosa and much more that are capable of causing blindness and as such, the earlier you get checked the better for you.
