EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintri has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in the state.
The incumbent governor won with a total of 663 of the 668 votes, with five of the votes declared void.
A former speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Fintiri was elected governor in 2019 and will fly the PDP banner in the 2023 elections.
Fintiri had declared his intention to seek re-election at the swearing-in ceremony of the local council chairpersons in Yola last month.
