EKO HOT BLOG reports that a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi has reportedly left the main opposition platform.
His exit is coming barely 24 hours before the party’s presidential primaries, as he reportedly expressed fears he might be humiliated at the convention in Abuja.
People’s Gazette quoted Peter Obi as saying on Wednesday evening that he caught wind of a gang-up against him.
He did not immediately disclose his next move.
The development is expected to focus the spotlight on the PDP’s primaries scheduled to be held in Abuja this weekend, where Obi was initially seen as a front runner in a race that includes Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike, Dele Momodu, Bukola Saraki, among others.
The PDP is yet to confirm or react to Obi’s exit.
