EKO HOT BLOG reports that Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow after Benfica’s Darwin Nunez revealed that he intends on moving to Spain this summer.
Nunez has been earmarked as a priority for Man United manager Erik ten Hag, who sees him as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
The Uruguayan striker scored 34 goals in 41 matches for Benfica last season and the Portuguese giants are realistic about their chances of keeping the 22-year-old.
Benfica has reluctantly put a £65m price tag on Nunez and Man United are prepared to pay the fee, feeling that he will be worth at least twice that in years to come.
