EKO HOT BLOG reports that there was tension in a part of Lagos on Sunday as the homecoming of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, was disrupted by some hoodlums.
Reports confirmed that the hoodlums attacked journalists covering the thrilling arrival of Tinubu who was returning to the state 12 days after emerging victorious at the presidential primaries of the ruling APC.
The journalists according to reports were attacked while returning from the Palace of Oba of Lagos, Oba Riliwanu Akiolu, where they had gone to cover Tinubu’s visit to the monarch.
This online media gathered that the bus conveying the journalists was stoned by the hoodlums who also used weapons to vandalize the same vehicle.
Those in the attacked vehicle were said to be journalists from the Lagos State Governor’s office. Two among them were injured by the hoodlums.
This online media had reported earlier that Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Sunday evening, days after he defeated the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Senate President Ahmed Lawan and others to win the party’s presidential primaries.
The former Governor of Lagos State was said to have arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala International Airport, Lagos at 3:30 pm and was received with a rousing welcome from hundreds of APC supporters.
The APC Presidential candidate was accompanied by the Governors of Kano and Imo states, Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodimma respectively.

A former Governor of Borno State, Ahmed Shettima, as well as some party leaders at the national level were also in the company of the APC Presidential candidate.
The former Lagos State governor left the airport for the Palace of the Oba of Lagos to pay homage to the traditional ruler.
