EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate on the platform of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has paid a visit to the founder of the Lqiving Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo at the Canaanland headquarters of the church in Ota, Ogun state.
According to Church Gist, the former governor of Anambra visited the cleric on Tuesday, 19th of July, which happens to be his birthday.
One of the church’s pastors (Leke Beecroft) in Canaanland, shared a photo of the Labour party presidential candidate and cleric pictured together on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
Although the details of the visit are yet to be known, it may not also be unconnected to Obi’s political aspirations ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Church Gist, however, reported that the visit was for ‘priestly and birthday blessings’.
Recall that Bishop David Oyedepo has been a strong critic of the ruling All Progressive Congress government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He had also described the current administration as being corrupt and wicked.
