EKO HOT BLOG reports that Manchester United legend, Roy Keane is confident that Thomas Tuchel will still be Chelsea’s manager at Christmas.
Chelsea fell to a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal in the final game of the tour of the US on Sunday with Tuchel reading the riot act to his players, questioning their commitment after a dismal display in Florida.
However, the German coach has led the club through one of their most tumultuous periods in their recent history with former owner Roman Abramovich forced to sell the club earlier this year, ending his 19-year tenure at Stamford Bridge.
A consortium led by US businessman Todd Boehly acquired the club in May with a number of changes made behind the scenes following his takeover.
When Asked whether Chelsea could have a new manager by Christmas, Keane told Sky Bet: ‘No, I don’t think so. There has obviously been loads of uncertainty over the club the last few months, that has been sorted out now obviously with the new ownership coming in.
I’m pretty sure again he will be able to bring some players in. He is a top quality manager, he has dealt with a lot of issues over the last few months.
‘Ultimately it was a disappointing end to the season for them. But he is a top quality manager and I think the owners will back him. I’d be amazed if he is not there at Christmas’.
I am far from relaxed,’ Tuchel said after Chelsea’s heavy defeat. ‘We were simply not good enough. We were simply not competitive.
‘The worrying part is that the level of commitment physically and mentally for this match was far higher for Arsenal than for us.
‘They played I think what is their strongest line-up and structure that you see now for several weeks. This was the line-up they will try to start for Premier League games.

‘It was surely not our strongest line-up. This is a part of an explanation but only a little part and the other part is worrying. I cannot guarantee we will be ready in two weeks.’
