It contains protein, fat, calories, carbohydrates, vitamins, and trace minerals. It is high in selenium, which can work in the body as an anti-cancer agent. However, there are downsides to crayfish consumption that can pose a threat to our health.

Pregnant women are specifically advised to avoid eating too much crayfish because it can damage the brain function of their babies.

 

3. Allergies

Some people have body systems that can be allergic to crayfish, which can cause certain reactions in their bodies. These reactions can be very unpleasant. Crayfish contain a particular protein that can be highly allergenic.
