The crisis between Atiku and Wike deepened after Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa was chosen as the vice presidential candidate of the party.
Wike has lately been fraternizing with chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which has led to speculations that he might be defecting from the party soon.
However, reacting to the developments, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated that Wike had invested too much in the party to think of dumping them.
He said: “Governor Wike is an important member of this party. He is a man who has invested so much in this party. He has also harvested so much from the party; the party has also promoted him.
“He has said in so many for a that he is a committed party man and has remained loyal to the party since inception.
