Abiru To Lagos Deputy Gov: You Led Lagos Digital Technology And Infrastructural Exploits

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Senator representing Lagos East at the National Assembly, Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru FCA, has greeted the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his birthday.

In a congratulatory message, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries hailed the leadership of the deputy governor, whom he described as “a great asset”.

The lawmaker then credited the former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure with repositioning Lagos State in terms of infrastructural and digital technology development.

Emphasising Hamzat’s leadership credentials, Abiru recalled the fruitful days as commissioners under the leadership of the former Lagos State Governor, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.

The former bank executive revealed that the deputy governor aided the actualisation of the Lagos dream envisioned by the former governor.

“Today, I celebrate a highly cerebral professional and respected figure in Epe Division and Lagos State at large. His Excellency, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State on his 58th Birthday.

“Dr., you are indeed a great asset to the progressives in Lagos State. I recall how you embedded technology into the governance process of Lagos State as the Commissioner for Science and Technology.

“You permanently changed the narrative from the analogue to digital thereby placing our state on a continuous growth trajectory.

“When we both served in the transformational government of BRF as commissioners you were an exemplar performer. As a commissioner for works, alongside other committed members of the team, you led the actualisation of great infrastructural strides of the Babatunde Fashola administration.”

Abiru, who noted the “great values” Hamzat is adding to the Sanwo-Olu-led administration, prayed for the health of the deputy governor.

“In view of our antecedents and pedigree, I am not surprised you are adding great values to the government of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as a co-pilot of affairs of our dear State,” the senator said.
