A Customs comptroller has slumped and died at the Kano Airport.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Anthony Ayalogu, slumped and died on Tuesday at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
This online media platform learnt that the deceased who was in charge of the Trade Facilitation Unit of the NCS was hale and hearty until his arrival at the airport yesterday when he suddenly took ill.

It was gathered that Ayalogu was immediately rushed to the Nigerian Air Force Hospital in Kano when he first slumped. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead after some minutes.
A statement issued by the Customs Public Relations Unit, AA Maiwada, said Ayalogu was “in transit on an official assignment when he suddenly took ill upon arrival at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport and lost consciousness.
“All efforts to revive him proved unsuccessful as he was pronounced dead at 2020 hours on Monday, 17th October 2022 at 465 Nigerian Airforce Hospital Kano. He was aged 57.”
According to Maiwada, the Comptroller-General of Customs Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), while commiserating with the family and friends of Ayalogu, said the deceased will be sorely missed.
“We pray God grants the Ayalogu family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Ali was quoted as saying.
The deceased hailed from Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Ayalogu, who joined the NCS on September 24, 1991, as Cadet Assistant Superintendent, reportedly had a Bachelor’s Degree in Botany from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
