Ogbonnia stated that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should consider using the image of the former President on one of the new naira notes for his efforts at making the country and Africa better.
He described Obasanjo as a moral edifice, that governed the country with an appreciable level of equity, fairness, and ethnic sensibility.
The Ohanaeze scribe argued that the former President remains the conscience of not just the nation but the entire continent, stressing that he deserves national recognition of the Nigerian currency.
He said, “Chief Olusegun Obasanjo deserves national recognition on the Nigerian currency. He is a moral edifice who governed the country with an appreciable level of equity, fairness, and ethnic sensibility.
