Ukraine-Russian Crisis
Zelensky Declares Kherson Liberation As ‘Beginning Of The End Of War’
Zelensky has declared Kherson’s liberation as the ‘beginning of the end of the war’.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has alleged that Kherson’s liberation is the beginning of the end of the war in Ukraine.
Last week, Russia was forced to order its troops to withdraw from Kherson which brought a lot of humiliation to Vladimir Putin as it was the only regional capital successfully captured since his invasion.

Black Sea Defeat: Putin Threatens UK With Extraordinary ‘Unpredictable, Dangerous’ Response
As the flag was raised above the Freedom Square in Kherson, Zelensky called the liberation the “beginning of the end of the war”.
He said: “We are, step by step, coming to all of our country. I am happy we are in Kherson.”
The President was surrounded by his security detail as he spoke to the locals who wore the Ukrainian flag and cheered his name as the national anthem rang out.
UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace warned after the retreat from Kherson that Russia is “a long way from giving up” in Ukraine and may send for more “cannon fodder”.
The Ukrainian President has been warned by Dr Mark Galeotti against “overconfidence” following the success.
The author of Putin’s Wars: From Chechnya to Ukraine, wrote in The Times that while the retreat “could be a turning point in the war” Russia’s “latest disaster could lead to more bloodshed”.
Dr Galeotti suggests that Putin’s goal may have moved from winning the war on the battlefield to aiming to “deny Ukraine a quick win”.
He said: “Russia is able to leverage its resources to keep the war running indefinitely. [Putin] hopes to shake the West’s willingness to continue to arm and bankroll the conflict.”
The latest intelligence update from the UK Ministry of Defence said that “any decisions that the Russian General Staff make will be in part informed by the onset of winter”.
