The singer, who rose to fame with his hit single “Godwin” and later signed a record deal with Mavin Records, decided to go back to school at the peak of his career.
In an interview with The New Telegraph, Korede opens up about his journey and how he has been able to deal with the mental health challenges that come with being in the entertainment industry.
He also spoke about his decision to pursue Mass Communication, saying that he has a love for education and a desire to understand how the world works.
Korede stated:
“I love to learn how the world works and how the human mind operates. So getting a degree in Mass Communication seemed congruent with my profession.”
He went on to say that writing a headline and a chorus have a lot in common and that education in one’s passion is important, saying:
“Music and news are both languages of emotional connection. So, it is a good thing to be educated on your passion. I have observed that you can be the most famous or richest person on earth and still be unhappy or unsatisfied on the inside.”
