Speaking to PariMatch, Silva said, “the best moment for me in a Chelsea shirt was definitely winning the European Cup. It was a magical moment in my life.”

The 38-year-old went on to describe how his long wait for the Champions League trophy made the victory all the more special, stating that “after eight years with Paris Saint-Germain looking for the title, and then in the first year of being here, I managed to win it.”

Silva’s contributions were instrumental in Chelsea’s run to the Champions League title, with the experienced centre-back playing a key role in keeping clean sheets in both the semi-final and final.

The Brazilian has also helped Chelsea win the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup since joining the club.

Reflecting on his time at Chelsea so far, Silva expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play for the west London club.

“It’s a dream for me to be at Chelsea, to have played for them and to have won these titles,” he said. “Without a doubt, that moment will leave its mark, not only in my story but also in the club’s.”
