EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actress, director, and producer, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, raised an alarm on the internet after being attacked at her polling unit in Lagos. The actress was mishandled by political thugs who disrupted the polling unit and scattered ballot boxes.

In a live video on Instagram, Chioma expressed her disappointment in the security personnel deployed to ensure a peaceful election.

She asked, “So all the Army and police personnel they said they deployed to help us guide our votes, where are they, what are they doing?”

The video footage showed some of the voters at the polling unit, mostly men, challenging the thugs, while others ran helter-skelter for safety. Chioma captured the moment amid fear, as the thugs caused chaos at the polling unit.

It is not clear if there were any injuries or arrests made during the attack. However, the incident has caused concerns among Nigerians, with many calling on the government to ensure a safe and peaceful election.
