The Reds have struggled in the Premier League this season, currently sitting in seventh place, nine points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the top four have been further complicated by a string of poor results, including a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace and a 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
Speculation has been rife that Salah could be on his way out of Anfield as part of a major squad overhaul planned by Jurgen Klopp. However, his agent, Abbas Issa, has dismissed these claims as “absurd” and “nonsense.”
In a tweet, Issa said:
“This was never thought of or considered. The failure to qualify for the Champions League didn’t even cross our minds.” This statement puts to rest the rumors that Salah is looking to leave Liverpool this summer.
Salah has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club in 2017, scoring 118 goals in 187 appearances. The Egyptian has helped the Reds to win several major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup.
Liverpool fans will no doubt be relieved to hear that Salah is not looking to leave the club, especially as the team faces an uncertain future. Klopp is expected to make significant changes to his squad this summer, with a number of players rumored to be leaving Anfield.
As for Salah, he will be hoping to help Liverpool overturn their deficit against Real Madrid when the two teams meet again in the second leg of their Champions League tie.
