Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed the Peter Obi campaign movement, Obidient.
According to the politician, the movement has a host of supporters in Lagos who he considers too prideful and full of delusions.
This is in response to Peter Obi’s alleged controversial defeat in the recently concluded 2023 elections.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in Lagos State ahead of the March 11 gubernatorial election.

Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter account on Thursday to express his views, stating that Obidients in Lagos are delusional and excessively proud, which will lead to their downfall in the forthcoming election.

Fani-Kayode likened the supporters of the LP candidate to the character in Greek mythology called Icarus, who flew too close to the sun, causing his wings to melt. He noted that the excessive pride and hubris of the Obidients will ultimately lead to their defeat in the gubernatorial election.

The former Minister of Aviation accused the Obidients in Lagos of being motor park touts, with no real understanding of the political landscape in Lagos State. He further claimed that their ignorance and lack of political savvy would lead to their downfall in the election.

Fani-Kayode’s criticism of the Obidients in Lagos comes amid increasing tension and political maneuvering ahead of the March 11 gubernatorial election in Lagos State. The election promises to be a closely contested affair, with several political parties jostling for supremacy in the state.
