  • Yul Edochie hits at arguments referring Lagos State as a No Man’s land.

  • The Nollywood actor via his Instagram states that the integrity of the State being owned by Yorubas should be respected as Anambra State is respected as an Igbo State.

  • This argument has been on for ages owing to the fact the State has been commercially viable for a heterogeneous community of people.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that renowned Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has criticized claims by some individuals that Lagos state is a no man’s land.

In a recent post on his Instagram stories, Yul stated that Lagos is a Yoruba state in Yoruba land, contradicting the notion that the state is not owned by any particular ethnic group.

The talented actor opined that it would be ‘crap’ for anyone to claim that Anambra state, his home state, is a no man’s land.

He emphasized that Anambra state is Igbo land and people must accord it the respect it deserves.

Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, is a melting pot of diverse ethnic groups from different parts of the country and even beyond.

The state has been known to accommodate people from various backgrounds and is often referred to as a no man’s land due to its cosmopolitan nature.

However, Yul’s recent comment has sparked a debate on social media about the true ownership of Lagos state. While some people agree with him that Lagos is a Yoruba state, others argue that the city is for everyone and should not be restricted to any particular group.

Meanwhile, the actor’s post has also garnered reactions from his fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Some people commended him for speaking up while others criticized him for trying to stir up ethnic tensions.

It is pertinent to note that Yul Edochie is not the first person to challenge the idea of Lagos being a no man’s land.
