The inspection comes less than two months after President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the Blue Line.
The Lagos government is currently test-running the Blue Line rail for commercial use.
In a post on social media on Sunday, Sanwo-Olu said the Red Line rail’s terminal will connect the BRT at Ikeja and Oshodi, down to Abule-Egba, by the time it’s fully operational.
“Today, I inspected the mega terminal of the Red Line rail at Ikeja. This multimodal terminal will connect the BRT at Ikeja and Oshodi, down to Abule-Egba, by the time it’s fully operational,” the governor wrote.
“This station can process over 500,000 passengers at a time, and when in full operation, the mega station will take up to 1 million passengers daily.”
