EKO HOT BLOG reports that Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has slammed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the just concluded 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, over his actions before the election day.
While speaking on Tuesday morning on TVC’s New programme ‘Your View’, the PDP chieftain said the party was not prepared to win the 2023 election.

According to him, many demands made during the electioneering period were turned down by Atiku and the national leadership of the party.
Making reference to the demands of the five aggrieved governors of the party popularly known as the G5, Fayose said their demands were simple yet Atiku and the PDP national chairman, Iyorchi Ayu, paid a deaf ear to their demands.
He also recalled how Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, betrayed the trust of Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, during the party’s primary elections.

Fayose said many of the party members, especially the G5 had wanted a Southern candidate from the PDP but for selfish interest, division happened in the party which led to the departure of Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
