The Lagos government has subsequently summoned the principal to explain the incident.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Ministry of Education has commenced an investigation into the complaint of a parent that his child was sent out of Odomola Junior Secondary School, Epe.
The student was allegedly sent home from school after the school officials found a sticker in support of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), on her bag.

The school principal subsequently served her an exit form that asked her to go campaign for Obi at home “against the wish of Lagosians.”
The exit form, sighted by Eko Hot Blog, carries the principal’s signature.
Reacting to the incident in a statement on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo said the principal of the affected school has been summoned to explain the circumstances surrounding the alleged suspension of the student.
Mrs. Adefisayo maintained that the state government, through the Ministry of Education and all its agencies, will never instruct anyone, including the Principal, Teachers and other personnel, to send a student out of school irrespective of the offence committed, assuring the public that the matter will be dealt with in line with stipulated rules and regulations.
She also disclosed that another School Principal at Odonguyan, who appeared in a viral video on some social media platforms promoting her political choice to her students, has been subjected to appropriate disciplinary measures.
“The Lagos State Ministry of Education is saddled with the onerous task of managing the administration of all public schools’ systems devoid of politics and political insinuations,” the commissioner said.
