Soludo Vows To Probe Onitsha Market Fire Outbreak

Soludo has vowed to conduct a thorough investigation into the Onitsha market fire outbreak.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has said the Tuesday fire incident that occurred at the Onitsha Main Market would be investigated to prevent future occurrences.
Soludo, while commiserating with the traders, expressed sadness over the early morning fire that razed a two-story building within the market and also destroyed some shops leading to the loss of multi-million naira worth of goods.

The governor gave the assurance in a statement by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Wednesday.
The statement read, “Soludo has commiserated with traders at the Onitsha Main Market over the fire incident that razed down their shops.
“The governor expressed sadness over the early morning fire on Tuesday that razed a two-storey building within the main market which consumed some shops leading to loss of goods.
“The governor again reiterated the need for all to be extra vigilant in preventing outbreaks of fire incidences in the markets, offices and even our homes.
“He commended the efforts of the Firefighters and other security agencies who battled to contain the inferno.
