Supporters of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi have been on air in Abuja voicing their displeasure on the victory of President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

On joining in the protests, Charly boy tweeted “I am indeed happy with the Obidient Youths and the courageous lovers of Naija. Soon I will be joining my courageous youths to take our peaceful rally to the next level.”
EKO HOT BLOG reports that popular Nigerian musician and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has announced his intention to join ongoing protests against the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.
Supporters of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have been protesting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, demanding the cancellation of the election that saw Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared as the President-elect.

The protesters, who call themselves “Obidients,” alleged that the results of the election were manipulated to favour the APC.
Charly Boy, a well-known socio-political activist, took to Twitter on Wednesday to praise the protesters and announce his plan to join them in taking the protest to another level. He commended their courage and encouraged Nigerians to work together and stand together in order to achieve great things.
“I am indeed happy with the Obidient Youths and the courageous lovers of Naija,” he tweeted. “Soon I will be joining my courageous youths to take our peaceful rally to the next level.”
The musician’s announcement is likely to attract more attention to the ongoing protests and may increase pressure on the government to address the concerns of the protesters.
