Earlier this week, police officers tried to execute an arrest warrant on Portable but he resisted.

He subsequently took to social media to say the police were after him because he beat up an underling, who was a ‘Yahoo Boy’ (internet fraudster).
-
The police consequently gave him a 72-hour ultimatum to turn himself in.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the officers of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested the controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable.
The singer’s arrest comes after the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum given to him to turn himself in.

The police spokesperson in Ogun, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed that the singer is currently detained at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
On Wednesday, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was given a three-day ultimatum to report himself to the police.
This was after the singer resisted attempts by the police to arrest him and also referred to himself as “a federal government liability.”
Oyeyemi said the arrest warrant became necessary after Portable refused to honour the police invitation on several occasions.
Earlier on Wednesday, the federal police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, condemned Portable’s conduct after he resisted arrest.
He described the conduct as unruly and punishable under the law.
“The Nigeria Police Force has condemned the actions of one Habeeb Okikiola popularly known by his stage name Portable, in a viral video, where he was seen exhibiting irrational behavior and hurling insults at Police Officers carrying out their legal duty, an action which is criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria,” Adejobi said in a statement.
