Liverpool won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup last season, while also coming close to clinching the Premier League title. They also made it to the final of the Champions League, where they suffered a narrow defeat to Real Madrid.
However, this season has been a different story, with Liverpool crashing out of all competitions and struggling to replicate the form of the previous campaign. Klopp admitted that he was responsible for the poor showing and vowed to do better in the future.
“I couldn’t care less what we did last year or the years before. I’m 100 per cent responsible for this rubbish and it’s really not cool,” Klopp said.
