Ziyech joined Chelsea from Ajax for a fee of approximately £33 million in 2020 and has helped the team win three trophies. However, he has not been a regular under the various managers who have led the club during his time there.
Despite this, the African football star has managed to make 102 appearances for the Blues, scoring 14 goals.
The 30-year-old was reportedly close to joining Paris Saint-Germain on loan during the January transfer window, but the move fell through.
Speaking to ESPN, Leboeuf said, “Ziyech is not happy and he wants to work. Every time he plays for Morocco, he’s the best player in the world, and every time he plays for Chelsea, he feels sad and lost. So I wish him to go somewhere else where he can show to the world he’s still the Ziyech that we have seen when he played for Ajax.’’
Ziyech has struggled for consistency this season and has faced criticism for his performances.
