Asensio, who is in the final months of his contract with Real Madrid, joined the La Liga champions in 2015 and has since played in 273 games, scoring 58 goals and registering 30 assists. This season, the Spanish international has scored nine goals and recorded six assists in 38 matches for Los Blancos.
In an interview with Madrid Universal, Ancelotti expressed his desire for Asensio to remain at the club.
The Italian tactician said that having a player like Asensio in the squad is crucial, as he can always contribute with goals and assists at any moment. Ancelotti further stated that he trusts Asensio, and the player always delivers when it matters.
